The history of the Sotiriou Winery begins in 1996, in the historic village of Lesini Oeniade of Aetoloakarnania. Dimitris and Efrosini, a young couple at the time, decide to deal professionally with the world of wine. Born and raised in Lesini, they carried the memories of their childhood, mixed with aromas and flavors of the special local wines. Their love for the local tradition and their desire to be saved and to have continuity, was the driving force for a dynamic start.

Since then, in the 110 acres of privately owned vineyards in Parachelotitis, an area famous since ancient times for its wonderful wines, the local traditional varieties of white and red wine are produced and bottled, such as Malagouzia, Goustoulidi, traditional Mavroudia, etc. Today, the winery is housed in new, modern facilities, with state-of-the-art machinery and places with suitable conditions for the maturation and storage of wine,  while work continues on the completion of new buildings where various thematic activities take place, such as concerts, film screenings, art exhibitions, festivals,  participatory horse riding, participation in the harvest, seminars on pruning  and wine tasting as well as many other events aimed at  the promotion of the vine not only as an economically and commercially available and evolving product, but also as a means of promoting and local culture in direct connectivity with local tradition.

The main advantage of the area is neither the excellent quality wine, nor the unique appetizers that accompany it, nor even the absolutely harmonized with the surrounding decoration of the area. What lifts the visitor of the place is this feeling that hovers discreetly in the air that you have visited a spacious house with excellent hosts.
