The Holy Temple of the Greatest Brigadiers has been the patron saint of Aetoliko since 1610. The current church is built above the older one, has important sacred relics of the 18th and 19th century and the wood-carved temple of the 18th century impresses with its structure. According to sources, in 1823, during the siege by the Turks, a shell fell in the center of the church from which water came out and helped the fighters.
