The "EXODUS MEMORIAL CELEBRATIONS" in Messolonghi begin with the impressive photography exhibition of Nikos Siamos, entitled "RETRO", organized by the Charitable Cultural Organization of "DIEXODOS".

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Saturday, 2nd April 2022, at 8 p.m. in the premises of the Historical Museum of "DIEXODOS", while in the same place, as it is customary to do so, the Mayor of the Sacred City, Kostas Lyros, will also proclaim the fortnight artistic and cultural events for the 196th anniversary of the Exodus of the Guard of the Free Besieged.

The exhibition includes fifty, large-scale, framed portraits depicting contemporary faces in form, clothes, headdress, decoration, and style in general, of a bygone era. These are staged photographs of the last decade that have been awarded in international competitions in Canada, London, Thailand, and Las Vegas.

The exhibition will run until 30th, April 2022, daily (except Monday and Tuesday) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. with free admission, while for organized groups of visitors or for educational tours of schools, the exhibition will be open daily after telephone communication with the Museum's secretariat (26310 51260).

It is recalled the need to observe all the prescribed sanitary safety measures against Covid 19.



He was born and raised in Messolonghi.

From an early age he was involved in photography while working in the family business maintained by his parents. He studied photography at the European School Photography in Athens and in 2002 he opened his own studio undertaking photographs of social events, portraits, and fashion. He has attended photography seminars both in Greece and abroad by the best photographers in the world. He has taken part in photography seminars both in Greece and abroad. He has taken part in international photography competitions and has won awards and distinctions.

He is a member of the PWS, SWPP, WPPI, MPI, COSMOS AWARDS and holds the title of Master Photographer in the photographic organizations WPPI (Las Vegas) and PWS (Europe).
