The Chamber of Aetoloakarnania in the context of the implementation of the operation
""Holistic networking of creative media through collaborative spaces (hubs) Holistic networking of creative industries through hubs - Creative @ Hubs",
co-organized the 2nd knowledge enhancement workshop on:
"Documentary, from idea to creation"
in collaboration with
"Polis Production & Literary Association of Messolonghi".

The 2nd workshop of the cultural industry that took place within the framework of the "Creative @ Hubs" program was successfully held on Friday, July 9, at 20:30, focusing on the transitional stages from the idea to the realization of a historical documentary.

The 2nd workshop entitled "Documentary from the idea to the creation", took place outside the Chrysogelos building with the appropriate material and technical equipment. The workshop was opened by the Hub Manager of the program Vassilios Artikos who welcomed the participants, at the same time inviting to the stage to greet the event the president of the Chamber of Aetoloakarnania, Mr. Panagiotis Tsichritzis.

After the greeting of the President, the coordinator of the program after introducing the two speakers to the public, Mr. Eleutherius Dakalakis (director-producer / owner of the production company Polis Production) and Mr. Christos Vlachogiannis  (music teacher-composer) gave the floor to the speakers who informed the public about issues related to the preparation and creation of a documentary.

The 1st speaker (Eleutherius Dakalakis) interactively analyzed the process followed about the production of a documentary (basic idea, central theme, screenwriting, finding resources for its implementation) and referred extensively to the etymology of the word and the documentary of cinema.

Then the floor was given to the 2nd speaker (Christos Vlachogiannis) who analyzed the issue of the musical investment of a documentary. Specifically, he referred to the etymology of the word “music” and the fact that it contributes strongly to the provocation of emotions and the aesthetic enjoyment of the viewer-listener as the need for musical listening is inherent in man from the moment of his birth.

The speeches were followed by the screening of a historical documentary focusing on the events that preceded the Exodus (two sieges) culminating in the voluntary and heroic Exodus of the Messolonghi, which shocked, touched, and mobilized many people in turn in the struggle for freedom. Emphasis was given on the fact that the high spiritual level of the inhabitants of Messolonghi was a consequence of the special cultural environment that had been established in previous centuries. At the end of the screening, a discussion with the public followed and a buffet with cool soft drinks was offered outside the building.

The workshop was also broadcast with LIVE STREAMING through the page of the Chamber of Aetoloakarnania on Facebook.
