ANNA FILINI'S EXHIBITION "COURSE TO FREEDOM" AT CHRYSOGELOS BUILDING IN MESSOLONGHI SACRED CITY

The Regional Governor of Western Greece Mr. Nektarios Farmakis and the Deputy Regional Governor of Culture and Tourism Mr. Nikolaos Korovesis invite you to the opening of Anna Filini's art exhibition entitled "Course to Freedom". The opening of the exhibition will take place on Saturday, October 22 at 19:00 p.m. at the Chrysogelos Building, in the Sacred City of Messolonghi.

Anna Filini is an architect and painter. She was born in Athens and studied Architecture at the Milan Polytechnic University, where she lived for six years and then for five years in West Berlin. She took the first drawing classes next to the painter Eleni Zongolopoulou. In Milan she attended the free workshop on nude of Brera Fine Arts Academy. She has held 21 solo painting exhibitions in Athens, in various Greek cities and islands as well as in Berlin and Alexandria.

The paintings that will be exhibited in the halls of Chrysogelos Building talk about memory and history. They are images of struggles for freedom, but also for creation, art, and love. They are images of a never-ending course of human efforts. This art exhibition is briefly a unique visual “commentary” on the value and ideal of "freedom", whose request remains timeless and interlocal, universal and essentially necessary to ensure the elevation of cultural "becoming".

The Department of Culture of the RWG returns to the field of visual arts with a unique exhibition that aims at the contact of citizens with historical memory, their spiritual and aesthetic cultivation through a channel that combines imagination, history, and emotion.

Exhibition’s Duration: October 22 – November 25, 2022

Monday – Friday 10:30 – 13:30, Sunday 11:00 – 13:00
